The master class is intended for children from 5 years old.
Purpose: group, class design.
Target: master the technique of working with cotton wool and cotton swabs.
Tasks: developing the ability to roll cotton wool into flagella, roll cotton balls, and place cotton swabs in certain places. Develop imagination, thinking, creativity, interest in cotton wool applications.

Step-by-step work process
We tint a sheet of cardboard with yellow gouache.
We paint the cotton wool brown and red. We paint cotton swabs green, red, half red and green.
We make a rowan tree trunk: from brown cotton wool we roll up a rope the length and width of which resembles a tree trunk. Tree branches: roll the flagella thinner, glue them onto a sheet of cardboard.
We continue to roll flagella from cotton wool and glue them to the trunk.

Hello, my faithful friends, readers and guests of the “Family and Childhood” site. I think it was no coincidence that you looked at this page. Surely, you are interested in an autumn applique with rowan berries made of paper, what better way can you come up with for creativity with children, if such a task was assigned at school or in kindergarten. I hope you will find the answer to your question, because this craft looks really juicy and believable, and is performed using a fairly simple method. Today I suggest you make an autumn applique - “paper rowan”.
In autumn there are so many bright colors, delicious fruits and colorful motifs around. We can enjoy the fruits we have been waiting for all year. And the birds also fly south or, conversely, come to us to taste the ripe rowan. We will never confuse bunches of rowan with anything. We always firmly associate them with autumn, a dreary time of year, which was sung by many poets.
We suggest doing this craft on a rainy day, looking at the bright, leafless rowan tree outside the window. The clusters will definitely remain on it, but the leaves will very quickly turn yellow and fly off. This is a visual aid, and here are also instructions.
To create an autumn-themed craft, prepare:
- cardboard;
- corrugated paper in red, brown, green and orange;
- scissors;
- glue.
How to make an applique in the form of a bunch of rowan berries
The cardboard will become the basis of the picture. Choose a rich background against which bright colors will look good. Suitable blue or blue, which are similar to the autumn sky, gray or chocolate, as in this case. The bunch itself will be made from soft corrugated paper: stem, berries and leaves.
To create a stem, cut a thin strip from brown paper and twist it along its entire length into a rope with your fingers. Cut part of the strip into short segments, leaving a long stick as well. Glue the main long branch onto the chocolate background using glue.
Cut the red crepe paper into large squares. Roll each square into a ball, kneading it in your hands and smoothing it between your palms.
Glue short strips to the end of the brown branch as a bunch. Glue a red ball to each one. Make a rich bunch.
Cut small rectangles from green and orange crepe paper. Stack them together or separately. Using scissors, cut off the corners of all the rectangles at the same time to obtain blanks for the leaves. You can make them all orange or yellow, but a combination of two shades will look very nice.
Glue the leaves, creating oblong branches.
A bunch of scarlet, very juicy rowan is ready. She is very similar to the real one. The craft turned out to be voluminous.

“Small bird” made of almonds and plasticine
Try to make a small bird of unprecedented beauty from almonds and plasticine - and you will be surprised how simple things turn into miracles in your hands! Master class by Anastasia Batina.
For creativity, prepare:
- almond;
wet wipes; - plasticine;
- simulation stacks;
- plastic board.
We create a magical little bird from plasticine and almonds
Select large, unopened almonds. Wipe with a damp cloth to remove dust and degrease the surface.
Roll two black balls of the same size. Press down with your finger and press it to the bird's head. Add small white spots to the corners of your eyes.
Make a triangular beak from red plasticine and use a stack to divide the tip into two parts. Stick the beak to the nut.
Make a small yellow plate in the shape of a semicircle and place it on top of the beak. Make nostrils with a sharp stick or toothpick.
Take bright green plasticine and mold two wings in the shape of a “leaf”. Roll four thin yellow flagella and stick two on each wing.
At the base of the wings, stick flat round yellow decorative elements. Make small indentations with a round stack and add red spots inside. Using a sharp stick, squeeze out holes on the feathers, as in the picture.
Connect the wings to the body of the bird.
Roll red, yellow and green flagella of different lengths.

Cooking steps:
We crumple the newspaper and give it the shape of a ball. Then, so that the ball holds its shape, we wrap it with masking tape (for a more durable job, I wrapped it with rope). Now we need to attach a branch to our ball. To do this, cut a small hole in the ball, 2-3 cm deep, coat the twig with glue and insert it. When the glue dries, we begin to glue the ball. We will glue the cones first (they must be well dried, because if the cones are damp, they will not stick). Then we will glue the leaves. Next you can glue rowan branches, spruce branches, wolf berries and any other decorations that fit our autumn theme. Then we prepare the solution in unnecessary containers and pour it into a flowerpot with a tree. In order for the solution to dry, you need to wait about two hours. After we have made sure that the solution has hardened, we proceed to decorating the flowerpots. We cover the surface of the solution with spruce branches, cones and anything else. So our bright tree is ready!

First, we draw a rowan branch with paints on white cardboard, then glue dried leaves to it.
We make berries from paper in the following way: just as in the applique with napkins, red paper needs to be rolled into balls, dipped in PVA glue and glued to the place where the bright berries should be. Do this with each “berry” to get juicy bunches.
You can also make berries from ordinary flat circles. They need to be cut from red paper, preferably in different shades - from burgundy to pink. Then the berries will look more interesting. We also cut out the leaves and branch from colored paper and glue everything to the base cardboard.
Winding the threads
To make the craft “Rowan Branch from Threads” we will need the following elements:
- PVA glue;
- Cardboard for the base;
- Wool threads in red, brown, orange and yellow colors.
We fold the threads several times and cut them into small pieces.
On cardboard we draw the outline of a future branch with rowan berries. We lay out the outline of the branch with whole brown threads and glue it.
We do the same with threads of orange and yellow colors, these will be the contours of autumn leaves on our rowan branch. We also glue the outline with whole threads.

- Scissors;
- Glue;
- Cardboard for the base;
- Gouache.
First of all, let's prepare cardboard for the base. It can be plain white cardboard or colored. On it we draw the outline of the future rowan branch.
Lubricate the branch itself with thick glue, then lay out the cotton wool along the contour of the branch. When the cotton wool sticks, take a brush and paint it over the top with brown paint.
