Video: “Children’s poster: my first year”

Most often, mothers are involved in decorating the anniversary. But dads subtly hint that the baby still doesn’t understand anything to put on a colorful show, but, to their surprise, they take part in the preparation with pleasure.

But I really want to congratulate my son beautifully on his birthday, on his one year anniversary. And here interesting design ideas and thematic options for holding a boy’s first birthday will come to the rescue.

Traditional birthday decoration for 1 year old

Definitely, a themed birthday requires strict adherence to the chosen direction.

Therefore, some parents prefer the traditional festive decoration of the holiday.

The surroundings, made in a certain color scheme, will look much more laconic.

It is better to choose colors that are not poisonous, not too bright, so as not to distract the baby.

Shades of pastel, muted tones are ideal. You can choose white, green, brown and honey tones. It is not necessary to make jewelry in boyish blue shades.

Play with colors, combine several options.

All decorations must be large enough and safe.

Remember that the baby learns about the world not only visually, but also by touch.

The child will try to touch and even taste the decorations.

Therefore, be sure to take this into account and avoid using glass, fragile jewelry.

Balloons, streamers with congratulations, various flags and pom-poms are ideal. Children really like various animals made from balls, as well as huge balls filled with smaller ones or toys.

Just keep in mind that the child may be scared if such decor suddenly bursts.

Be sure to make a play area for kids.

Here you can install a toy house, an inflatable slide, ladders, and structures made from large cubes.

If the holiday takes place in the summer and outside, a swimming pool, swings, or sandbox will do.

How to congratulate a boy on his first birthday in an original way: choosing a theme

But if you want to congratulate your son on his first birthday in a non-standard way, choose a suitable theme.

After all, themed holidays always stand out for their creativity and originality.

We offer several themes that are ideal for organizing a boy's first birthday.

Creating an atmosphere of mysterious space is not so difficult.

It’s enough to figure out how to convey the beauty of the starry sky. You can make celestial bodies in the form of stars, comets, and planets from ordinary cardboard. Give them shine by covering them with foil or decorating them with luminescent spray paint.

Such decorations with a neon effect will glow coolly in the dark. You can also simply sprinkle the finished figurines with broken Christmas tree decorations, crushed into crumbs.

The main color of the holiday will be blue, diluted with white and silver. To match, we make flags with images of stars or in the form of small space rockets. The same rockets and stars will decorate the treats.

And we dress up the baby as a little stargazer. We prepare caps with stars for guests.

Happy birthday to my 1 year old son, like a little prince

Create a real fairy tale kingdom for your little prince.

To make the setting reminiscent of ancient knightly times, make a real castle out of cardboard. It can be made voluminous or used as a background by placing it on a wall or curtains.

It is not necessary to make a whole fairy-tale town or huge buildings - a couple of towers will be enough.

Helium balloons look cool for the little prince’s birthday, on the ribbons of which you can glue fairy-tale figures. To congratulate the baby, we are preparing a colorful themed banner.

The main color schemes for such a holiday will include a combination of blue with silver and gold. It is in this color scheme with images of crowns, coats of arms, and medals that you can make invitations for guests and cool caps.

Be sure to make a colorful candy bar where you can display candies, cakes, drinks and cake as treats, decorating them with themed toppers.

How to congratulate your son, a little gentleman, on his first birthday

Another great idea for organizing a boy’s birthday is a gentleman’s style party.

The main accent in the decoration will be antennae and butterflies.

We dilute the main color with multi-colored stripes and polka dots, which will make the atmosphere more cheerful.

We choose a festive outfit for the baby with a vest and, of course, a bow tie.

We use the same elements, as well as images of glasses, hats, canes to decorate the room and for a photo shoot.

A great classic set for birthdays for big and little gentlemen!

Let your baby's first birthday be remembered for its originality and chic.

Happy Birthday, one year old boy: ideas for decoration

Not only the right theme will help to add individuality to the holiday, but also ideas that can be brought to life exclusively at the anniversary.

They can be the start of traditions that can be continued on the second, third and subsequent birthdays.

Poster “I’m growing...”

Guests and relatives will be interested to see how the baby grew and how he changed throughout the year.

After all, in the first year the baby grows very quickly and not everyone has had the opportunity to observe these fascinating changes. Therefore, posters with photographs of a child taken in each month of the past year, from birth to anniversary, are very popular.

You can design such a poster in the most unpredictable ways. The trains look cool with photos in the trailer windows. You can draw a clock and place a corresponding photo on each number. Or make a flower with 12 petals and stick a corresponding picture on each of them.

A simple poster or banner on which you can paste a photo of the baby will also work.

Collages with photographs, where you can display cool situations and skills of a child, look no less interesting.

In this case, narrative photos with images of the baby together with their parents and grandparents are ideal.

If you wish, you can choose interesting captions for the stories or short poems.

This achievement poster can be hung in the family room or at the entrance.

Slide show

If you know how to work with video programs, be sure to make a colorful slide show. Such a video will be a wonderful addition to the birthday scenario and a gift for the baby. Here you can use not only the most interesting photos, but also videos that have accumulated throughout the year.

Baby's first birthday

I’ll tell you about how we celebrated our eldest son’s first birthday. This was my first holiday of this kind, and there was little information on the Internet on the topic “how to celebrate a child’s 1st birthday,” so I had to come up with a lot on my own.

Preparation

TO first birthday I started preparing for my eldest son six months in advance.
I wasn’t in a particular hurry, I was preparing "I'm growing" chart, where each month corresponded to a photograph and data on the child’s height/weight (I planned to give a copy of this chart to the guests).

But with wall newspaper for the first birthday Some difficulties arose. For a long time I could not find an option on the Internet that would suit me. I had to take a few ideas and creatively rework them myself. The result was wall poster “My achievements”.
In each of the twelve columns corresponding to twelve months, I placed photographs of the child and listed what he learned at that age (roll over, crawl, etc.). To design the newspaper, I selected photographs in which the child had a particularly interesting facial expression, printed them out, made them smaller, then cut them out and pasted them into the “apples” that are the design elements of the newspaper.

You can download:
holiday newspaper layout "My achievements"(1.08 MB)
stencil "Apples"(672 KB).

I prepared all this when the baby was nine months old, so then I simply added to the wall newspaper as the baby grew. And it was easier than if I had started doing everything right before first birthday, before celebrating 1 year.

3 weeks before the holiday, my son and I drew invitation cards. I cut out circles from colored paper in advance, and then together we glued them to a white sheet, on which the baby, fiddling with his palms smeared in finger paints (you can get by with regular gouache, it’s cheaper), left his “autograph.”
When the “postcards” were dry, I wrote text on them 1st birthday invitations.

Since the hero of the occasion is small, and in order not to tire him too much on this first holiday, we invited few guests, namely grandmothers, grandfather, godfather and a couple of friends. Birthday Invitations I sent it out by regular mail two weeks before the holiday. Everyone really liked this idea; many, having received the letter, called back and said that they, of course, would be at celebration dedicated to the child's 1st birthday.

A name card was made for each guest, decorated with a photo of one of the birthday boy's favorite toys. Then we put these cards on the table so that the guests would immediately understand who should sit where.

I’ll make a small disclaimer here - all this happened several years ago, and I had fewer opportunities to prepare for the holiday. For example, I made wall posters using appliqué, scissors and glue, and painted them with pencils and paints. But now it’s easier to do everything on a computer and print it somewhere inexpensively right away in finished form, and perhaps even with delivery. I came to this later - if you look at how we noted, you will see the difference.

Menu for first birthday

In order not to overshadow the day of the holiday with an abundance of cooking, I tried to prepare the treat the day before. I didn’t think much of anything, deciding to make do with completely traditional dishes and snacks, simply arranging them in a “children’s” style - for example, I laid out puff salads in the shape of a fish and in the shape of a sunflower. Naturally, they were intended for guests. The child had his own treat.
In addition, on the table there was pilaf, a salad with crab sticks, a pita roll (I also prepared this the day before), egg mushrooms, an appetizer on skewers, and fruit.

I baked and decorated a cake in the shape of a car for my birthday two days before the holiday.

And here is my son's first birthday- The day for which I was so prepared has come...
The feast was scheduled for the afternoon so that the birthday boy, who had slept well, would be in a good mood.

Baby's first birthday (1st birthday)

While the child was playing in his room with his grandmother, my husband and I decorated the room and hung wall newspaper, stretching “Happy Birthday!” , big postcard "Birthday - 1 year", printouts of poems and congratulations (download 1.66 MB), poster "Who do I look like".

Initially there was a thought decorate the room balloons, but then we abandoned this idea, fearing that some balloon would burst and scare the child. And we decided to decorate the room instead of balloons paper flowers.

By printing the outlines of flowers on colored paper ( download 96 KB), I carefully cut them out. Separately, I made colored circles - the centers of the flowers.

I strung both of these blanks on a thread as shown in the figure, and I took the threads of different lengths. We attached the resulting flowers to the ceiling with pins (our ceiling is covered with polystyrene foam tiles). It turned out very interesting: the flowers seemed to float in the air and sway at the slightest breath.

The husband believed that the child would not pay attention to all these decorations. But it turned out quite the opposite. The kid immediately noticed everything, as soon as he left his room. Even the flowers that hung from the ceiling! For about five minutes the child stood in the center of the hall and looked around with interest. Then he started pointing at posters and decorations, hooter. He climbed onto the sofa and, smiling, began to poke his finger at his photographs on wall newspaper.

Even after Birthday the flowers and the wall newspaper were a huge success. The kid liked looking at the pictures, and even more he liked blowing on the flowers hanging on threads. They began to sway, and the child was delighted with this. So we removed the decorations from the hall only three months after 1st year celebration.

The guests also liked the decoration of the room. The first thing they did was go to the posters and look at them. So no one was bored even while I received the rest of the guests and finished setting the table.

First children's party, first birthday scenario

The first item on the holiday program was watching a video about the birthday boy.
Knowing that family videos usually don’t arouse much interest among guests, I tried to edit the film from short episodes, putting titles and music on them. But, as it turned out, even in this version the guests were not interested in the video, so I quickly ended the show and invited the relatives to give a congratulatory speech, which they did.

To make the holiday more fun, I planned to include first birthday script different competitions, and the guests joined the game with readiness and pleasure.

1st birthday contests

Game one: competition “Who do I look like”
I prepared a separate poster for this competition. In its center I placed a photograph of the birthday boy, and to the right and left of it were photographs of my parents (that is, my husband and I) at one year of age. Under the photo of the baby, I wrote down in a column the points by which it was necessary to evaluate the similarity of the child with one of the parents: eyes, nose, cheeks, mouth, etc. The sum of the votes showed who, in the opinion of the guests, the baby is more like.

Game two: “Congratulations”
I announced that I had prepared a congratulation for my beloved birthday boy. But, unfortunately, I was so busy preparing for the holiday, that I didn’t have time to insert adjectives into the text of the congratulations that describe and evaluate the child. Therefore, I ask everyone to help me finish the letter. Just congratulations ( layout) was mounted on the wall, but it was impossible to read the text, since it was covered with a white sheet of paper with slits in the places where adjectives had to be written. The guests vying with each other began to shout out words characterizing the birthday boy, and I wrote them in the spaces left. Then the sheet-mask was removed and she read aloud the congratulations compiled by joint efforts.
This activity was a lot of fun.

Game three: competition “Guess what is drawn”
We had several “pictures” drawn during classes at the toddler school. I showed them to the guests and asked them to guess what was depicted here.
The answers were: 1 - beach, 2 - rain, 3 - pyramid,
4 – apples on the grass.
I showed the pictures sequentially, from simple to complex. The guests turned out to be surprisingly smart and guessed the names of the illustrations almost immediately. Although I assumed that difficulties might arise, and prepared tips for this case. The prizes were “reproductions” of paintings participating in the competition. Anyone who guessed the name received a copy of the drawing in photograph format. This was my small miscalculation: I did not take into account that all relatives would want to receive such prizes. So I recommend making more copies of the prizes, just in case.

About what and how you can draw with your child -

Game four: competition “Guess what I ate”
For this competition I needed four jars of different baby food. I wrapped them in foil and glued numbers on the lid. The guests received markers and paper, and I set a task: after tasting the contents, determine what the puree was made of. The competition was very noisy and fun, all you could hear was: “Pass number one!” Who has number two? I chose purees that used several products (pumpkin-apple, for example), so it was quite difficult to guess the correct answers. However, there was a winner - he had the maximum number of matches, and he received a sweet prize - lollipop.

Game five: “Letter to the Future”
During a short break, I invited the guests to write congratulations to the birthday boy on his 18th birthday. At the end of the evening, we collected the letters and, without reading them, packed them in a pre-prepared envelope with the note:
“The envelope was packed on 04/18/2009.
Envelope opening date 04/18/2026"

Game six: Horror Film competition
Our first birthday we celebrated on Saturday, and on Sunday it was Easter. And this gave me the idea to hold a competition with an egg. I brought out a plate of eggs to the guests, announcing that one of them was raw and the rest were boiled. And she suggested that the bravest ones, choosing an egg, break it on their forehead. The winner was the one on whose forehead a raw egg broke. I invited only men to participate in the competition. There were as many of them as there were eggs on the plate. You should have seen the face of grandfather, who got the last egg - all the rest turned out to be boiled. Of course, I deceived the guests; there was no raw egg on the plate. And the winner was grandpa. He did not back down and broke the egg, even though he thought it was raw.

The end of the holiday was a tea party. Opening it, the three of us (me, husband and son) solemnly brought out the cake and blew out the candle together.

After the holiday, we prepared a small photo report in the form of a brochure so that the child could see and remember how it went First birthday.

You can often hear the opinion that a small child does not need a birthday celebration, because the baby is at this age ( 1 year) is still too small, he understands little, and will not remember this event.

Maybe you are right.

But is this why we make holidays to remember them? You need to celebrate your baby’s birthday if only to please him – at least for one day, at least for a couple of hours. And let him not remember anything. But I think that somewhere deep in his soul he will have something kind and bright. And this something will make him a little better when he grows up and begins to understand a lot.

And besides, we must not forget that the birthday of a child who is 1 year old is not only his holiday. This is a holiday for his mother, his parents and relatives, because they have all been waiting for his birth for so long.

/ 5.10.2015

What is possible? This question is quite complex, because at this age the baby, in fact, still understands little and perceives the world exclusively through visual images. A 1 year old happy birthday poster doesn’t seem at all like something banal and uninteresting. On the contrary, the baby will be happy to receive this kind of present for his birthday.

What to draw on such a poster? Yes, whatever your heart desires. The main thing is that the poster is colorful, bright and visually interesting. It is unlikely that a child will understand intricate plots and compositions. Everything should be quite simple, but at the same time beautiful, so that the baby visually remembers this gift. If you can’t come up with anything useful, then you can take ready-made wall newspapers for your 1st birthday on our website. We present to your attention various ready-made works, which, after downloading, all you have to do is print and give as a gift. What could be simpler?

Choosing the right and suitable option will not be difficult for you, because there is a lot of work here. If you are in doubt about which one to choose, then print several at once - you won’t go wrong. Believe me, 1st birthday posters are perhaps the best thing you can give to the baby himself.
